Notes from the Feb 4, 01, The
Brain Exchange - meeting.
The question I posed was: "What art activities could we create that
can be used to explore a theme like Inspiration."
Activities
- Create an activity which is to generate as many questions as possible
about inspiration.
- Create an activity which is to generate as many activities as possible
about inspiration.
- Write a song.
- Do something with finger painting.
- Create a view of yourself with paint, collage, etc.
- It's the Muse, get out into nature. Go to inspiration point.
- Get a CD - of birds, whales, and other nature sounds.
- Create a group definition of inspiration?
- Do an activity of who where the most inspiring people in your life.
- Create a list of people who inspired you and make a gift to them and
send it to them.
- Create a list of things that inspire you. Create an object from it and
swap it with some-one else's object.
- Create an advertisement for you inspiration.
- Create a time capsule that will inspire others in the future. Do a art
showing and the public could drop in an object that inspires them.
A lot of questions came up. Such as;
- Check what the opposite of inspiration is?
- What are the synonyms?
- How do you personify inspiration? what sort of a person, animal, etc. is
it?
- What is the relationship between inspiration and discipline?
- What do you do if you feel you can't be inspired?
- What do you have the most passion about?
- What recharges you in a day?
- How to find inspiration?
- How do you convert your daily life into inspiration? If you have a pile of
dirty dishes in the kitchen that need to be washed. How do you turn that
into an inspiring event?
- What inspires?
- try something new
- go to a new event
Ideas about inspiration;
- The speaker was skeptical about inspiration. "To much inspiration is
bad, you don't get anything done if you just wait for inspiration."
- Do what sparks you the most. What do you have the most passion about?
- Being Multi-talented keeps you from having inspiration. You get to
many things going and you lose your inspiration.
